2. Use of Data
Your data is used solely for the purpose of operating the ApplyNova service, including:
- Automating and personalizing job applications.
- Tracking the status of your application runs and managing your credit balance.
- Communicating service updates and support.
We do not sell your personal data or User Content to third parties for marketing or any other purpose.
3. Specific Disclosure of Google User Data Handling (Limited Use)
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs strictly adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
A. How We Use Google User Data:
The ApplyNova platform uses data accessed via Google APIs (specifically Gmail Send Scope and Gmail Readonly Scope) solely for the purpose of providing the core functionality of our service:
- Professional Applications: To send job application emails from your connected Gmail account to the employer.
- Tracking Application Status: To organize and track sent messages and related replies to manage your job pipeline.
B. Sharing, Transfer, or Disclosure of Google User Data:
We do not share, sell, transfer, or disclose Google User Data to any unaffiliated third parties for purposes other than providing the core functionality of the ApplyNova service.
Specifically, we do not:
- Transfer raw Google User Data to third parties for marketing, advertising, or unsolicited email.
- Transfer raw Google User Data to third parties to be used in ways unrelated to the core, user-facing features of the app.
However, in the course of providing our core service, data derived from Google communications is securely transmitted in the following ways:
- Sharing with Employers (User-Initiated Transfer): The application materials (name, email, and email content) are transferred to the employer's email server (SMTP) only when you explicitly initiate an application.
- Transfer to Subprocessors: We use necessary third-party services (e.g., cloud hosting) to operate the platform. These third parties act as secure data subprocessors under strict confidentiality agreements and only process the data required to run the service. They are prohibited from using the data for their own purposes.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose data if required by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal processes or protect the rights and safety of ApplyNova or its users.
4. Data Security and Retention
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. We retain your User Content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
5. Third-Party Access
We rely on Google's OAuth service for secure authentication and Gmail API access. Our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and update your User Content.
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
